Time Magazine might offer another throne to Lebron James
"King James" makes the news again. After his controversial ad " What should I do?", the Miami Heat's player is now in the spotlight with Time magazine. With Barack Obama, the Chilean Minor or Lady Gaga as rivals, Lebron is among the 25 finalists for the Person of The Year award. He was already ranked in Forbes Magazine as 2010's second most influential athlete behind Lance Armstrong. James is humbled by the nomination but doesn't think he is the right choice for the award. However the basketball player misunderstood the whole purpose of this award and should think about it twice. The designation isn't necessarily regarded as honor. The magazine features anything that, for better or worse, has done the most to influence the events of the year. Let's not forget that people like Adolf Hitler and George Bush were both previously named as persons of the year. In that case, has Lebron James been chosen because of his influence for the better or for the worse?
Remember that the basketball player has been in the headlines, first for his influence in the NBA, but also with "the Decision" episode when he made a long riddle and kept his fans in suspense about his choice for the coming season.
