Choosing between Samsung Classico and Samsung Tocco Ultra
Choosing a cell phone today can be a difficult decision. Getting the choice narrowed down to a single manufacturer is often a good first step. But even then, you still need to decide on a specific model. Take, for example, the Samsung Classico S7350 and the Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra.
When functioning strictly as a phone, they are practically indistinguishable. Both are quad band, GSM and HSDPA compliant. The factory installed battery on each supplies nearly 4 hours of talk time before needing to be recharged.
The entertainment capabilities are fast becoming a key feature set in consumer decision making. You can play downloadable Java games on either phone. The supported video formats can are quite robust in as well. Enjoy clips in DivX, XviD, MPEG4, H.263, H.264 and WMV9 formats. Both have built in FM stereo and MP3 players. But, only the Tocco Ultra supports FM recording.
If messaging and emailing from your phone are daily rituals you perform, you can't go wrong with either of these Samsung models. They are identical in messaging capability. Getting on a GPRS and HSDPA network is no challenge for either phone. But, only the Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra supports 3G.
The memory capability of each of these cell phones is fairly comparable. The Samsung Classico S7350 has 90MB of installed memory. The Tocco Ultra carries 75MB of installed memory. Both have a Micro SD slot so the 15MB difference is practically irrelevant.
The installed camera is where these two phones really set themselves apart from each other. The Classico comes with a 5 mega pixel camera with built in LED flash capable of capturing video as well as still shots. The Tocco Ultra, however, boasts 8 mega pixels with face detection technology built in. The dual power LED flash makes getting the perfect picture a snap.
Now we come to the interface. The Samsung Classico S7350 is your classic slider phone. Push the screen up to reveal the usual buttons necessary to make a phone call or send a text message. The Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra, on the other hand, has the added advantage of touch screen technology. It is still a slider phone but, so much more powerful. The TouchWiz 1.5v lets you personalize the menus and interface. The 2.8 inch screen is powered by Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diodes. AMOLED for short, is powerful technology providing crystal clear and bright images.
