Dealing with heart rate and diet pills (Solo Slim). Help please!?
I started taking the diet pill SoloSlim regular strength 10 days ago. The past couple of days I have felt very groggy with no energy. Last couple of nights I haven't slept well. A couple of days ago I experience some chest tightening (nothing that hurt or anything) and it went away. I sort of experience that some now. My heart rate is anywhere from 90-120. I'm not going to take any more of these! Should I see a doctor!? Should I be concerned? Should I just get some rest and not exercise until it is back down? I don't know what my typical heart rate is.
I felt really tired like this yesterday but felt better once I took a nap.
What are your thoughts? I'm a bit freaked out. I have a history of Bulimia (I'm recovered).
So it would be beneficial to take walks?
I'm definitely not taking any more of them!
Answer:
First, stop taking pills. A sensible diet and exercise is the only healthy way to loose weight and keep it off. Losing weight is not a one-event thing where you take a pill or do crash dieting, it is a lifelong commitment to a different healthier lifestyle that includes sensible diet and exercise.
The thing with heart rate especially since you don't know what your normal rate is, is that when you assume something is wrong it might escalate because of the anxiety of not knowing. Take a deep breath, stop taking the pills, start with short walks and slowly increasing them to brisk walks.
If you continue being concerned go ahead and visit the doctor and take those pills with you.
