Need some help with an advanced Mircosoft Excel formula?
I want to count the number of times a value occurs in one column when the value of a different column is over a specific number.
For example, I want to count the number of rows where "apple" appears in column F when the value of column G is greater than 100. In some cases "apple" appears in column F when the value of column G is less than 100 and those rows should not be counted.
Answer:
using a simple 9 rows
copy&paste this formula
=SUMPRODUCT((F1:F9="apple")* (G1:G9>100))
then change stuff in F and G to see it work.
you can use >=100 in the formula, your questioned only mentioned >100 and <100
then just change the ranges to fit your real ranges...dont use F:F and G:G
